Editorial Policy
This page sets out how Ank Health decides what to publish, how we handle accuracy, and how we keep advertising separate from editorial content.
What we publish
Explainers and background on medical conditions, treatments, nutrition, fitness and healthcare costs. We do not publish miracle cures, single-study sensations, personal testimonials presented as evidence, or content promoting unproven treatments.
Where evidence is contested or weak, we say so rather than choosing the more interesting side.
Sourcing
We prioritise clinical guidelines from recognised national and international bodies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and large randomised trials over individual small studies and observational findings. Where figures such as screening ages or diagnostic thresholds differ between countries, we say so rather than presenting one as universal.
Safety framing
Every health article carries a note that it is general information rather than medical advice. Articles touching emergency symptoms direct readers to professional help. We do not provide dosages, treatment protocols or anything that could be acted on in place of a clinician.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact promptly. Email [email protected] with the article title and the specific passage. Substantive corrections are noted on the article; typographical fixes are made silently.
Advertising and editorial independence
This site is funded by advertising served through third-party networks. Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Advertisers do not see articles before publication, cannot commission or veto coverage, and have no influence over editorial judgement. An advertisement for a health product is never an endorsement by us.
Use of AI tools
We use software tools in research and production. All published content is reviewed for accuracy before it goes live, and editorial responsibility for everything on this site rests with Ank Health.
Review and updates
Health content ages. We review articles periodically against current guidelines and update or retire those that no longer reflect them.
